TEDD LiGGETT’s phOTOGRAPH_oF_tHE_dAY #1450 - Earth Day ... has become a ritual of sympathy for the idea of environmental sanity. The concept of recycling as a gateway drug (get us hooked on it & we can move on to harder stuff) has failed. 40 years on, Madison Avenuer’s slap the "green" label on nearly anything, including ‘things’ that are demonstrably stupid & a eco-illogical step backward. 20¢ is not a Paradigm. Earth Day accomplished its mission; the environment is near the top of the global agenda. Make this Earth Day our last, so we can wave a flag, er- post a blog that the time of environmental awareness is almost over, and the transparency of government has begun. Earth Day is Everyday.
World Without End.
Earth Mother is ... the “Soul of the Earth”, the Korean mythology of Mago. 39 feet tall, roadside kitsch, side-of-the-road weirdness; an example of an atomic giant violation of height ordinances, highway statues, folk art and monuments to bad taste.
Earth Park is located on the outskirts of Cottonwood, Arizona.
