TEDD LiGGETT’s phOTOGRAPH_oF_tHE_dAY #1259 \ tANK tOWN

tL's phOTOGRAPH_oF_tHE_dAY #1259 - In early railroading days, trains made many stops for water for the locomotives. Water tanks were built for this purpose. Around them grew small towns, “tank towns” for the railroad employess and the folks who served them. Photographed here is a relic of the well & platform for the tank in west Texas, on the old San Antonio to El Paso trail.
