tL's phOTOGRAPH_oF_tHE_dAY #744 - Still standing from the turn-of-two centuries ago, a small tobacco warehouse in Calloway County located in the Jackson Purchase region of southwestern Kentucky. Land purchased from the Chickasaw Indians by Statesman Andrew “Old Hickory” Jackson in 1818 (11 years before his Presidency) also includes a segment of Tennessee. This original American frontier is part of the upper Mississippi delta, is mostly agricultural and lies in the New Madrid earthquake fault zone.
