tL's phOTOGRAPH_oF_tHE_dAY #1313 - Take It Easy - the (SouthWest) Corner of Winslow Arizona. Take 2.

“Take It Easy”, written by Jackson Browne (and Glenn Frey). It was The Eagles’ first single, released on May 1, 1972, becoming their signature song.

Jackson began writing "Take It Easy" in 1971 for his own debut album. His friend and then-neighbor Frey heard an early version and liked it so much that Browne gave it to him for his new band - The Eagles.

Glenn Frey sings the lead vocals, with Don Henley singing harmony at the end of the verse "Though we will never be here again.” .

."Take It Easy" is set in the city of Winslow, Arizona, which responded by erecting a life-size bronze statue & mural commemorating the song, at the Standin' On The Corner Park at the intersection of Route 66 & Kinsley Avenue.

The famous lyrics include the verse ... “Well I'm running down the road trying to loosen my load, got a world of trouble on my mind. Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, she's so hard to find. Take it Easy, Take it Easy. Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy.”

... tomorrow the North East corner of “Standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona”
